They did in fact have it easier than did women. Things like having pockets and being able to carry things around with them was a tremendous advantage. Some, realizing this, would in the future act to help out the less fortunate, others would lord it over their female friends, others would treat the knowledge as if it were no big deal. But none of them transformed into women, thus finding out just how hard it was to live as a female.
