Jon shrugged off the weird feeling and walked over to Karyn beside her
locker. She then smiled as she asked "Are you ready for the baseball game
in gym class today?"
Karyn giggled as she replied "I’m more ready to go to your home and have
fun with the wishing stone." She then sighed as she continued "I kinda wish
I had magic in my blood like you do."
Jon gave Karyn a quick hug as she whispered "Being a fairy isn’t all it’s
cracked up to be. My mom, sister and I have to be real careful or we could
end up dead or locked up in some lab."
Karyn shuddered with Jon as they walked off toward class and softly said
"I know you had to keep your being a fairy secret but now that you inherited
the wishing stone you now have enough magic power to stop anyone from
hurting you."
Jon quickly replied "You know my own magic isn’t anywhere near as
powerful as the stone and I can’t have the stone with me all the time.
Besides; you found out first hand just how dangerous it can be."
Karyn sighed and gave Jon a weak smile and then said "I know and I’m
glad that trusted me with both of your secrets but you know your family
has what every girl dreams of. Magic. Being royalty."
Jon evenly replied "You know my life is no different then yours. The magic
I’m allowed to use is so small that it makes no real difference."
Jon giggled as she continued "It does help when we need a new outfit to
go on a date though."
Both girls broke into laughter as they entered the gymnasium.
