"Sorry," Jon said. "No problem. You're Jon, right?" "Who are you?" "Just an old friend of the family." "Well, my mom isn't home. She won't be back from her business trip until next week." "I see. Well, maybe I'll come back later." "Okay." Jon looks at his watch. "I've really got to go. Sorry." "That's okay. It was nice to meet you. Jon." Jon turned around and ran to school. But being in such a hurry, he didn't realize that when he collided with that guy, he accidentally dropped the stone. Then, as Jon ran away to try and not be too late to school, the "old friend of the family" picked up the stone, put it in his pocket, and walked away. Jon Gets To School | |
