He pushed Karyn back and lurched at the stone. He scooped it off the ground before Zoe could get to it. "I wish Karyn would remember who I am." The stone glowed and then realization appeared on Karyn's face. "Oh, Jon. I ... I'm so sorry. I forgot that it was you." "It's okay now, Karyn." "Not really. I mean, I know that you are my best friend. But ..." "But what?" "You're so different than everyone else. What most people would call a freak." "I'm the freak?" "She's right, Jon," said Zoe.
