When that didn’t happen, then she figured that her mother must not have had the wishing rock. However; Janet turned around just in time to see her mother set the wishing rock down. ‘Why didn’t Mom’s wish affect me?’ Janet wondered, more relieved that it hadn’t but worrying that maybe the rock was broken or something.
