"Wow, Linda," Betty said mockingly, "You're all smart and stuff." "Oh now, be nice," Linda said, stifling a laugh. "The poor girl's obviously not the brightest bulb in the lamp." "Like she needs to be!" Betty huffed. "When we were that age, we didn't dress like that!" "We couldn't have dressed like that if we'd padded our bras with a box of Kleenex!" "Hmf! Can't remember what mall she's at, can't even remember what size blouse she wears - I bet her name's Boopsie or Bambi or something." "Betty, she can probably hear you. You'll hurt her feelings." Betty, though, was in a bad mood and not to be silenced. "Well, too bad! That's just the kind of woman Hank keeps ogling in those magazines of his!" "Jealous?" Linda smiled. "You bet I am! he pays more attention to those pictures than he does to me! I wish I were a 22-year old blonde sexpot named 'Bambi'!" In the dressing room, Jon had not quite caught on that they were talking about her, but she quickly perked up her ears when she heard one of the women (the mean sounding one, not the smart one) utter the words "I wish"... "Ooooh no!" she whispered. She closed her eyes and felt a slight tingle wash through her. After a moment, she opened her eyes again. Bambi quickly checked herself out in the mirror. She was relieved to see that other than looking a few years older, she looked much the same as she had before. In fact, if anything, Bambi decided she looked better.
