How could you have his number?" "Um," Karyn put together a small lie off the top of her head. "In case I can't call my sister." "Oh. Okay." Karyn called Jon and was relieved when someone answered. "Jon?" "Karyn! Are you okay?" "Sort of." "I thought I'd never see you again. What happened to you?" "I'm a Goth, Jon." "What?" "And I'm friends with your sister." "What are you two talking about?" asked Zoe. "Nothing," Karyn answered her. "I mean, nothing important." Karyn turned her attention back to Jon. "I need you to get over here.
