Then Jon realized: if in this reality he was 16 and Petra was 18, and had a daughter who was age 4, then they had a child when he was age 12 and she was 14, and conceived the child when he was age 11 or the very start of 12. There was no way that reality could be good. Jon had to fix it.

Then the idea occurred to him. "I wish that our four year old daughter is really only a year old, but that something else made her become age 4."
