"Do you mean, like, were anybody else's memories adjusted? No," Lydia explained. "Alan had to go live in Sandy's house and try to act like him, including going to Sandy's school. Same for Sandy. He had to live in Alan's house and act like him and go to his school."

"So, you're not naturally a cross dresser?" Jon inquired to Sarah McMillan's face.

"That right. I had to fake it while I was living in Sandy's body for a few months," Alan confirmed. "After a while it didn’t even seem so weird. Fortunately, Dale and Sandy never went out much, except on weekends."

"So you and I weren't together in the magic shower," surmised Joseph from within Cindy Barkley's body.

"No, that was me, and I really liked it," Sandy confessed from within Jon's body. "I thought, wow, cool, now I have a pussy, the perfect excuse to wear girl's clothes all the time, even at school! I had to let Karyn talk me out of it this afternoon at the mall, though, because she thought I was Allen at the time, and Allen wouldn’t have dressed up the way I wanted to."

"But if you start now, everyone's going to think I've become a cross-dresser. They're not going to see you; they're going to see my body," Jon complained.

"Why should you care? You'll be living as Cindy," Sandy pointed out.

"That's right," Cindy explained with Joseph body and voice, but her own accent. "Make sure you look carefully through my old purse, Jon. That's where you'll find my bank accounts and drivers license and stuff. I was twenty years old and I worked as a cocktail waitress in a soul bar and grill. The keys to my apartment are in my old purse, too. The address on the drivers license and on my checks is correct. I guess you get my car, including the payments. I suppose you still live with your parent's, huh? That's gonna suck. You gotta girl friend? Cuz I do like girls, sometimes. Oh, you’re going to be allergic to feathers and you have about ten days until your period."

"I guess we all better circulate and exchange notes about our lifestyles," Lydia suggested dryly from within Jeff's body.

This suited Jon just fine. Without delay he crossed the room, looked straight into his old face, and asked, "Sandy, I think I left something in my old pants. Do you mind if I look for it?"

Sandy paused to think about this for a moment but Jon wasn't about to take any chances. Without pretext he bumped a corset stay into his old side, kicked his old foot with his new chrome high-heel toe tips, picked up his old pants, and removed the stone from the front right pocket.

"Don't think twice about stripping down to change clothes, if that's what you need to do," encouraged Lydia in Jeff's voice. "If you can't find what you need, look in my second closet. That's where I put old stuff I'm not going to wear any more. Dale and Sandy know where it is. They look like Allen and Jon now."

Jon wasn't sure he liked all of this. Sure, it would be nice to have his own apartment and car, but being a cocktail waitress had never been one of his life goals. Furthermore, despite his new appearance, he probably wouldn’t be convincing in a soul bar and grill. At the first opportunity, he held the stone and whispered, "I wish I knew how much the stone can reverse or modify the effects of the swap card I drew tonight."
