Karyn's body and clothes morphed within seconds. She still had her blond hair, but her skin became considerably more pale. And she had a lot of black eyeshadow and liner. And black lipstick. And black fingernail polish. And some ear and nose piercings. Her T-shirt and jeans changed into a black corset and worn skirt with fishnet stockings and knee-high boots. Karyn's attention drifted to Jon and then back to Zoe. "What's your brother doing here?" Jon was confused. What am I doing here? The last place I want to be is with my sister and her friends, Jon thought. Zoe was very pleased with this. She thought about something else to say and she said "..."
