"I'd like to get some food," said Karyn. "Could you use the stone to wish up some good food here?"

"Good food? In a shopping mall food court?" Jamie was surprised. "I never thought that that was possible, but it's magic. Okay, I wish we're buying some really great slices of pizza."

Suddenly Jamie and Karyn reappeared near the front of a line.

"We cut in line," said Karyn.

"Oh, it doesn't matter," said Jamie as she paid for their pizza slices and drinks.

"But maybe we shouldn't..."

"You could be right, but I do have this magic stone. I'd like to use it to have a little fun."

Karyn wondered out loud. "Jon wouldn't have cut in line... or would he? It's been so long since I last saw him, I just moved back to town..."

"Jon?" said Jamie.

"Oh, it's nothing," replied Karyn.

"Come on, is that what's upsetting you? Missing some friend you have? Why don't we just invite him here to be with us? I don't have to reveal the stone to him."

"Well, first," said Karyn, "guys don't like shopping, not the same way. Second, he... isn't around."

"Well, some magic can take care of that," answered Jamie. "I wish that Karyn and I would meet this Jon person right now...."
