Exchange StudentEpisode submitted by pakkwiman on Sun Aug 20 16:21:56 2006 Return to Parent Episode Sarah's blonde hair turned black and straightened. Her blue eyes darkened and narrowed. Her skin shifted from pink to tan. Her cute little upturned nose flattened and broadened above thickening lips. Her host mother fainted onto the floor. "Mrs. McMillan!" cried Sarah Lee. She dashed to the phone and dialed 119. Oops. She wasn't living in Korea this year. That number wouldn't work here. Old reflexes were hard to overcome. Sarah called 911. While the phone rang at the other end, Sarah looked at her host mother and noticed that a stone was lying atop the palm of her hand. Why was Mrs. McMillan holding a rock? Rays of sunlight coming through the living room window shone upon the rock. It looked so ordinary, yet ... there was something about it. Sarah put down the phone, kneeled onto the carpet and picked up the rock. She spoke to herself in Korean. "I wish Mrs. McMillan was OK!" Always OK Wish Range | |
