She had wished for smaller breasts and turned into a little kid (who had small breasts, of course). But now her new wish had changed reality for me too, since I hadn't heard it. Hadn't heard what? I could no longer remember... "I wished Sarah wouldn't be mean to me because she's my Mommy." I looked at the 3 year old who had difficulty getting on and off of stools. "Of course Sarah is your mommy," I said. "You even have your mommy's hair." "But I wished," said the little girl. "I can't have you making wishes... who knows what would happen?" I took the stone back from Karyn and let her go over to her mother. But it still bothered me... just what had she wished? John & Sarah | |
