He reached into his pocket and ... Jon felt stupid. Of course! He didn't have a pocket, because he was only in his underwear. His cellphone was still back at his house, presumably with the stone. Jon had never felt as alone as he did at that moment. He looked off at the horizon, the one that had something moving. He decided to risk it. Even if it was something bad, at least he wouldn't be alone. Jon walked towards whatever was moving, miles down the road, just before the horizon.
