The walls were thin and they slept less than 20 yards from each other, so if Mikey was loud he'd wake up Jon, who would then be in a lousy mood. And Mikey knew, when his older brother was in a lousy mood, he tended to get snappy with him. Come to think of it, everyone in his family pushed him around, just because he was the smallest. Zoe was never, ever nice to him and Mom always told him what to do. Mikey hated being the youngest. Just the thought of it upset him, it was so unfair! As Mikey climbed out of bed, he muttered to himself, "I wish... ...everyone in this house was extra nice to me!" | |
