Go where?" Zoe asked. "To the club. Come on, let's go." "Wait. What club?" Their mom looked impatient. "The Spiked Pit. What other club is there?" Zoe was never allowed to go to The Spiked Pit, which was a Goth club. She usually had to sneak out of the house. And now her mom was taking her there, like they were just going out to eat or shop or something? Mikey came out of his room, with his black canvas bag. "I'm ready." "What about my homework?" Zoe asked. She really didn't care that much about her homework, but her mom usually did. "Fuck your homework," her mom said. "Let's have some fun." Her mom and Mikey walked downstairs.
