Karyn lifted off her shirt and looked down at the basketballs hanging off of her chest. They were part of her body! She looked up and glared at Jon. Her eyes were burning with hatred. "I ... I'm so sorry, Karyn. I didn't mean ..." She was mad at him. Furious, in fact. But, of course, it would never have happened if Karyn hadn't wished that Jon would make a dumb wish in first place. "How am I supposed to go out in public like this?! I'm a freak!" "Keep your voice down, Karyn. My mom is still asleep." "I can talk as loud as I want, Jon!" From upstairs, they heard Jon's mom. "Jon? Karyn? What's going on down there?" she asked, as she descended the stairs. Karyn's eyes went wide. "She's gonna see me like this." "Put your shirt back on," Jon said. "That's not gonna help much." "Just do it." Karyn put her shirt back on, just before Jon's mom entered the kitchen. | |
