She was compelled to run down the hall and around the corner. Jon was in the hallway with a man with a long white beard. "Well, that was easier than I thought. Hey, Jon." "Oh, Karyn. There you are. I want you to meet Dr. Nodens." Karyn nodded towards the elderly man, then grabbed Jon's arm and pulled him away. "Jon, we need to talk." "Uh, okay." He turned back for a moment. "Dr. Nodens, feel free to look around. I'll be back in a few minutes." Dr. Nodens nodded and walked away. "What is it, Karyn?" Jon asked. She proceeded to tell him about the town of Emberwheat and their cry for help. | |
