He rolled over and his cheek touched the Deity Stone, causing a white flash. If the bright light hadn't been enough to wake him up, the sheer pain of his burned cheek would. He jumped out of bed screaming. "No!" He switched on the lights, hoping in vain ... yes, in vain. He saw himself in the mirror. His complexion was now marred by a patch of burnt flesh. He turned around and looked at his bed. There was a rock that he had never seen before lying by his pillow but it wasn't the rock he received from his grandfather.
