Nervous, even. She and Jon had been friends for years, but she'd always wanted take the next step, but she would just die if Jon rejected her. As she had so many times before, Karyn really wanted this night to be the night he finally kissed her. She put on her French maid costume, finished her hair and makeup, and looked at herself in the mirror. There was no way Jon could resist her tonight! And then it hit her. Stormtrooper! HELMET! No cute pointy ears, no Jon to see at all! He'd be hidden in that helmet and full armor tonight! Tonight wasn't going to be the night unless drastic measures were taken. She went for the stone. "I wish Jon would wear what I picked out instead of what he picked." The stone glowed, and Karyn smiled, satisfied. Then she thought about pointy ears, and quickly added, "I wish that Jon would get all the prosthetics and makeup right, too." Another flash from the stone, and Karyn calmed herself. Even though Jon and Karyn had agreed to take turns holding the stone, and to only use it in an emergency, Karyn wasn't worried. What harm could come of those wishes? Realizing just as she was leaving that she hadn't seen what the wish did, she thought she'd better bring the stone along, just to be sure. She stuffed it in her handbag.
