On the Ride Home...Episode submitted by Oni on Fri Jun 29 05:48:07 2007 Return to Parent Episode As Jon dozed, he thought he heard his mother's voice saying something indistinct, followed by an indistinct mumbling from Karyn's mother. He then felt the car stop gently, followed by the sound of a door opening, closing, then another door opening closer to him. He felt himself being lifted from his seat, and this woke him a little more. He was being held by his mother, and she was talking, in what she thought to be a soft enough voice, to Karyn's mother. "So," Jon's mother said, "It's still early, they should have someone available to talk with. With some luck, we'll get everything set for Monday. Bye bye, now!" Jon heard the car start and back out of the driveway as he felt his mother turn and start walking up to the house. Jon tried to stay awake, but he just couldn't... He nodded back to sleep in his mother's arms. later... | |
