Jon had always cared about Zoe, despite the differences in their personality and choice of friends. Jon thought of all the possibilities that he had at his disposal now that he had both a wishing stone and a way to reverse wishes. He could make any wish he wanted and reverse it if it turned out to be a bad idea so that no one would get hurt. He decided to make his first wish about Zoe. But what would he do? He didn't want to hurt Zoe, so he would have to be careful about his wishes and make sure that he could reverse any mistakes he made.
