"I know what you are!" the man declared, stabbing a finger at Jon.

"Er, you do?" Jon asked, dreading the worst.

"You're one of the wee folk, aren't you?" the man laughed. "You've come in search of your precious stone, but I found it first. Now I have power over you, and until I let you have it, you'll do whatever I wish."

What the hell? Jon thought as she stared at him. Is this guy a retard?

"I'm right, aren't I?" he said with a cocky grin, misinterpreting the look on Jon's face.

"No," she shook her head, confused. "It's... I mean..." Dammit, what can I say that won't make him just take the stone?

"I knew it. My grandfather always told me about the elves, but I never believed him until now," he sighed. "I wish he was here to see what I caught."
