Looking down at the stone in his hand, Jon saw a bright flash of light that made him turn his head away. Why did it grant that wish? Jon thought. The stone can already grant wishes. Jon shook his head and sighed, thinking he should stop goofing around with the stone and actually make a serious wish. But before he could make one, he heard a knock on his door. He dropped the stone on his desk and answered the door. It was Karyn. "Oh. Hi, Karyn." "You weren't using the stone without me, were you?" "Of course not," he lied.
