This is fiction, and I personally believe we can basically do whatever we want as authors, and I won't hold anything against authors who build on this branch, but I'm just as adamant about stopping the spread of misinformation. Yes a hurricane needs a front, but it has to be a specific kind of front, must be over warm water, and will never strengthen that quickly. Not even Katrina (which defied all hurricane logic) did that. Sorry, carry on, I just needed to get that out. As a post-script, creating a sudden pocket of cool air in a large area of warm air is likely to spawn a couple tornadoes. OK, now carry on. out of story not | |
