Jacob cleared a partly disassembled PC from one of the couches and said," I have two couches and a bed, one of the couches is a hide-a-bed." Weed having been here before went into the kitchen and came back with some cold cuts and bread. Jacob brought out some sheets and blankets. "Mr. Jones you can have the bed," Jacob said. Jones started to say that Jacob should not be put out of his own bed on his account. Then realized why the two men were giving him/her the extra measure of privacy. Jones took a deep breath and concurred with the sleeping arrangements. Jacob offered Jones an oversized tea shirt to use as pajamas and everyone prepared for sleep. Ray sulked around the bedroom before changing clothes. Ray confronted the simple act of undressing with the enthusiasm of one walking to the gallows. The joy of getting out of the grimy outfit was overwhelmed by the confrontation with the strange body. Slowly, sadly Jones removed the garments and prepared for bed, the sad but beautiful women in the mirror making lies of Ray's denial. The enemy body making itself known by traitorous sensations even in the dark. Latter than what would have been merciful Jones fell into a fitful sleep. Gena | |
