She guessed she was in a bar, but the bar stretched down the middle of the club, with ceiling-high poles every few feet. A guy was at the bar, rubbing the surface down. He saw her there, and said, "Hey, we're not open yet." "I'm sorry, I don't know how I got here." "I'm sure you walked in the front door, just like everyone else, you dumb broad," muttered the man to himself. "God, I wish you performed here, though," he continued. Suddenly, he realized it was time to get ready for his show. Pointing vaguely, he said, "The door's over there, lady. Come back in an hour, if you want to see the show." | |
