There seemed to be an interior control panel but the words were all alien and gibberish. I cursed myself for having wished the wishing stone out of existance, for if I had it I could wish for the controls to be in plain English so that I could understand them. Instead I was stuck with a fantastic technology at my fingertips and no way of knowing how to set any of the settings. For all I knew if I pressed any button I might transform myself into an inanimate object. Worse still, the door was shut and I didn't know which button opened it again. I had no choice but to either wait for help to arrive, in which case my machine wouldn't be a secret any longer, or else I'd have to start pressing buttons to see what happens.
