Mom stared at him, unable to believe what she was hearing. His face looked so odd, though whether it was from her having it or his simply never having seen it from the outside, he didn't know. Not my face anymore, he reminded himself. She reminded herself. She smiled down at her former self, mind racing. She didn't truly want to be a wife and mother, but she did want to switch her family around, and have a direct hand in doing it. Experiencing life from the other family members' perspective was just part of the fun. "Go on downstairs, honey. Zoe's done using my body for dinner. Thank you so much for taking care of my head while she was doing it."

"Jon" began to protest, but she pushed him out of the room, following a moment later. Looking back into her former room, she grinned. Having a new body didn't feel so strange. Perhaps on some level she was already used to having the parts. It even felt natural. As natural as her old body. Linda started downstairs, to face her first dinner as the mother of her old self and old siblings.
