As pointed out by many people, including her own parents, Karyn didn't have many friends and the friends she did have were all boys (namely Jon Gibson, Tim Brant, and Pete Roberts). This made a lot of people think that maybe she was a lesbian, even though she wasn't. Just a tomboy. But that didn't mean that she wouldn't like to have a girl as a friend.
