The shaker Zoe was holding wasn't the Salt of Desire. It was just salt. So where did the magic salt go? He looked around the table and spotted it. Mikey was holding the shaker and was just about to sprinkle some salt on his potatoes. "Mikey, wait." But it was too late. The salt hit his potatoes, turning them into gumballs, his favorite candy.
