"Did you bring it?" she asked. "No, I left it at home," Jon answered. "I thought it might be safer there." Karyn looked disappointed. "We can use it after school. I just didn't want to risk losing it." "I suppose." Karyn understood why Jon didn't bring it, but she was still disappointed that she'd have to wait another eight hours to use it. Unfortunately for them, though, the stone wouldn't be there when school was out, because it was The Phoenix Stone. After five hours of sitting in Jon's bedroom, it disintegrated and reformed somewhere else in town. But where did it spring up? Laura Ferguson | |
