Jon Meets a DwarfEpisode submitted by Anonymous51 on Wed Jan 21 17:02:14 2009 Return to Parent Episode "I wish that I would meet a dwarf." After the stone glowed, Jon heard a voice. "Okay, I'm here. Are you happy?" the gruff voice said. Jon looked around. "Down here." Jon looked down and saw a short stout man with a long beard crawl out from underneath his bed. "You're really a dwarf?" "Yeah." "What were you doing under my bed? Do you live there?" It stunned Jon to think that a creature had been living under his bed this whole time. "No. Of course not. I just like to hang out there. I like dark places." "Then ... where do you live?" "Well, obviously underground. I am a dwarf, you know." "How did you get in my house then?" "Through the basement." Jon suddenly realized how weird this all looked, standing in his bedroom, carrying on a conversation with a dwarf, which just a few minutes ago he thought was just fantasy. "Okay, you saw me," the dwarf said. "I'm outta here." "Wait," Jon said. "Where are you going?" "Home." "Can I come with you?" "Humans aren't allowed." "What if I make myself like you? I have this stone. It'll allow me to become a dwarf." The dwarf stopped and thought about it. "Okay. But when we get there, don't tell anyone you're actually a human." Jon smiled and clutched the wishing stone. "I wish I was a dwarf, until I return to this room." It was a good thing Jon remembered to add a limit to his wish. He didn't want to be a dwarf forever. The stone glowed, granting his wish. | |
