"Don't worry," the man said gently. "I won't hurt you." "Who are you? Are you the one that made everyone disappear?" Charlie asked. "Yes. Now, come with me," he said, leaning down towards him. "No way," Charlie said, before rolling over and away from the man. It would have been so much easier to get away if it weren't for his bound wrists, courtesy of the late Donovan (if he was, in fact, dead). But Charlie managed. "You don't understand," the man said calmly. "I'm trying to help you." "By vaporizing me?" "Please, come with me," he said, walking slowly towards Charlie. "You're not touching me," Charlie said, before dashing out of the room. | |
