"Did you bring it?" she asked. "Of course, I did," Jon answered, pulling the stone out of his pocket. "Did you figure out a way to fix yourself?" Karyn sighed. "No. And I was up all night, too. What about you?" "No, I didn't think of anything either. You'd think that my grandfather would give me more than just that stupid letter. I mean, he must have known that something like this would happen, right?" "Maybe he didn't have a problem with it," Karyn said. "I doubt that." "Hey, maybe you could wish up a manual," Karyn suggested. "Actually, that's not a bad idea," Jon said. "But maybe you should make easy to read. It'll probably end up being a 100-page book or something." Jon nodded. "I wish that I had a short and ... ugh ..." "Jon? Are you okay? Jon?" Suddenly, Jon felt as if he was getting smaller. No, shorter. He ended up stopping at a height of four feet! Then he started to have a hard time thinking, like he had cobwebs in his head. And then after that, he felt ... evil?
