What are you doing here?" a girl asked, catching her attention. She turned and saw a bunch of girls sitting at one of the food court tables. She recognized them as Sarah's friends. Since Jon was supposed to be like Sarah now, did that mean that she was friends with them too? It seemed likely. Jon approached their table. "Jon, why are you wearing boy's clothes?" Melissa Smith asked. "Yeah, did someone dare you to do it?" Amber Levine asked. "Because you look ridiculous in them." "Uh ... yeah," Jon lied. "Listen, I've gotta go. I need to get to Sarah's house." "I can give you a ride," Melissa offered. "Uh ... no, that's okay. I'll just walk." Jon walked away from their table and towards the mall exit.
