Jon's mother, Linda, ran in like she had a few moments earlier, as if time had rewound itself. “Jess, there’s an emergency at work and they need me to come in today, so because I can’t, you need to take your brother and his friends to the mall with you.” Linda said as she left, not giving Jon a chance to reply.
