"Hey, Jon," the boy said. "I asked my mom if it was okay for you to stay over tonight and she said yes. I'm so looking forward to it. We're gonna get pizza and we can even play Guitar Hero, if you want."

"Sure, that sounds great," Jon said. I wish I knew who you were, he thought.

Karyn groaned. To her, it sounded boring. She'd rather go to a rock concert with her friends, or maybe perform a ritual? You know, pig's blood and all that? Now that was fun. If Jon only knew what kind of person Karyn really was in this new reality, he'd try extremely hard to change her back.

Anyway, that was apparently it. Jon only had two friends (at least, two that were getting picked up), because now they were headed straight to the mall.
