"I know you...you go to my school. Jon...something. What are you doing here?" "I'm sorry," he said. "I was looking for Karyn Black. She lives on this block. I guess I got the wrong house." "Oh...you just missed her. Her family packed up for their annual vacation right after school. Would you like a soda or something?" Jon frowned. Sarah was wearing a cheerleading uniform and pretty much looked the same. But she seemed...friendly. How had that happened? "I guess," he said. "For a few minutes." He followed her inside. The furnishings were different...and if other people lived there, that made sense. The house stayed. It had been here long before he was born. "So...you're on the cheerleading squad?" Sarah giggled.
