He frowned, and fingered the stone. "I wish I knew what effect that wish had." The answer surprised him. He'd wished that his parents accepted Zoe whatever way she wanted to be. That second part had backfired on him. He'd never considered the possibility that Zoe wasn't 100% happy the way she was. He really needed to learn to be as specific as possible. Thinking about it, it seemed likely. She was angry and disagreeable all the time. But, the wish had not only made his parents accepting of Zoe, it had made her the way she wanted to be...bringing one of her fantasies to life. It didn't explain where their parents were though.
