The next morning, Jon woke up bright and early. His sleep had not been restful, but he found he was too full of energy and curiosity to care. He'd experienced many vivid dreams in his sleep, all about his new wishing shoes, and he couldn't wait to test it out thoroughly.

As soon as he was out of bed, Jon slipped on the wishing heels. With some difficulty, he could stand upright in the five-inch stilettos, though walking in them was still beyond his abilities.

Jon felt embarrassed wearing something so obviously female, but it was the only way he could use his new power. Of course, in the privacy of his own bedroom, he didn’t have to worry about looking foolish.

Not so private as far as Jon's mother is concerned
