"Show a little more enthusiasm, man. Look," he said, pointing across the street. Jon looked across the street just in time to see the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. But it was also the one woman he could never have. It was Lady Sarah, one of the richest women in all the city. "Are you trying to torture me?" Jon asked. "What? I thought you had a thing for her." "I do, but so does every other guy in this city. All fifty-one million of them. Sometimes I wish I was the only guy around, then she'd be forced to have me." He shook his head. "But as I am right now, I don't have a chance." "Don't sell yourself short. You've got good ... uh ... qualities." "Yeah? Like what?" "You're ... uh ... nice?" "Yeah, exactly. That's why Lady Sarah would never be interested in me. She's only interested in guys with attitude. And that's something I just don't have. It's just a dream, Joseph. And dreams don't come true." "Hey, no talking!" their boss yelled from behind the counter. Jon sighed and looked out onto the cityscape. Usually the city looked quite pleasant. But not today. With a storm blowing through, the city looked quite depressing. Cold, dark and gray. The rain was so heavy that he couldn't even see the spaceport lights from here. And they were usually very bright.
