Immediately, the portal's "picture" changed to show an arctic landscape, complete with icebergs and snow. "Now what?" Jeremy asked. "We step through," Seth said. Jeremy walked up to the portal, took a deep breath, then walked into it. The trip was instantaneous. One moment he was in the ship's cargo bay, the next he was in the winter wasteland.
