Ms. Summers Knows Something Is WrongEpisode submitted by Anonymous51 on Mon Sep 14 22:01:58 2009 Return to Parent Episode "Hello," said the blond girl. "My name is Buffy Summers. I understand you have a magical artifact we might be interested in." The girl in the wheelchair looked down at the stone in her hand. She didn't know why, but it wasn't working the way it should have been. But, as long as she didn't tell Ms. Summers that, she could still get quite a payoff from it. The girl lifted up the stone to the frail blond, who gently took it from her. She looked closely at it, then smiled. "It seems genuine. How much?" "Fifty," the girl said. "Fifty thousand?" "That's right." "You know, it's odd. I know exactly what this is," Ms. Summers said, holding the stone between her fingers. "It's hard to believe that you didn't try to use it. You could have just wished for the money. Heck, you could have just wished that we'd all forget that the stone even existed." She paused, then said "What's wrong with it?" "What do you mean?" the girl in the wheelchair asked. This Summers girl was asking way too many questions. Why didn't she just buy the damn thing and get it over with? Ms. Summers leaned in. "If it worked properly, you wouldn't be trying to sell it off. So, what's wrong with it?" The girl in the wheelchair was getting nervous. Should she tell this college girl the truth? Or just continue to lie to her, so she could get her money and get out of there? | |
