And a second later, he turned around and looked at him. "There's something coming," Charlie whispered, now hearing that distinct squishy slithery sound he heard before. Davis held his position until the noise went away, then he waved for Charlie to follow him once again. Charlie hoped that this "place of safety" wasn't too far away.
