"Yeah ... sure," Jon replied. "Are you okay? You seem a little out of it," Karyn said, getting a little concerned. "I thought you were really looking forward to this trip. It's all you've been talking about for the last month or so." Not in the previous reality, Jon thought. He was about to tell Karyn that he was going to stay behind, but then it occurred to him that this was exactly what he wanted when he made his wish. And going on the trip would give him and Karyn plenty of time to try out the stone ... after he showed it to her, of course. So, without anymore hesitation, Jon and Karyn and Karyn's parents all got into the car and set off to the west. It would be a long drive, but eventually they would arrive at the ski resort, somewhere in Colorado. | |
