"Sorry, wrong number," a girl's voice said. The line disconnected. She was about to go back to what she was doing when it rang again. "Hello?" "I'm sorry, I was trying to reach my friend, Jon. I checked the number..." the voice said. Mallory instinctively slammed the phone closed. The feeling she'd almost completely banished after a week of living her normal life was back.
