"Yup." They slunk back to the master bedroom. "What do we do now?"

"It's still early," Zoe said. "I don't know about you," she yawned, "but I'm going back to bed." He stared at her. "Relax, I'll put some pillows in between us. It's a big bed."

He grabbed a pair of underwear from his father's drawer and slipped them on. "Fine," he said, taking one side of the bed and piling pillows next to him.

They both went back to bed. Zoe fell asleep rather quickly, but Jon laid there for a long time, wondering what was going on. The stone hadn't been in bed with him when he woke up, and wasn't in bed with his sound-asleep father in his room. He wasn't sure where it had gone.

Eventually, despite everything, he nodded off.
