"I wish I didn't have to go to school today," Jon said. This way, he could use the stone all he wanted without having to wait for the weekend, which was four days away. The stone glowed, but nothing seemed to happen. He shrugged and sat in his room making a list of wishes to make, thinking the wish was granted to him. But a few minutes later, someone knocked on his door and he heard his mother say "Jon? Shouldn't you be getting ready for school?"

Jon was confused. Didn't his wish come true? The stone did glow. Why did his mom think he was still going to school? She didn't hear the wish, so her mind should have changed with the rest of reality.

But, unknown to Jon, his wish wasn't granted to him, but rather his English teacher Miss Nicole Walters.

And right at that moment, she was still at home, thanks to Jon's wish. She couldn't go to work at the school because ...
