Pink Sun:Zoe’s fate

An hour earlier.
Zoe was still sound asleep when she heard someone enter her room.
Drowsily she opened her eyes. „Huh ?“
„Sleep on Angel“ she heard her mother say „But we have to shut the blinds, and please keep them shut, it’s important !“
„Sure, mom“ Zoe groaned and drifted off to her dreams again.

Suddently Zoe’s eyes flew open. What was that noise ?
Then she heard it again, a clanging. As if someone, or something was digging through the garbage cans in the backyard.
Groggiliy she walked over to her window. The blinds where closed.
„Strange,“ she thought „why was this supposed to be shut again ?“
She pulled them up.
„Woah ! what’s the matter with the sun ?“ she blurted out when she saw the pink rays bathing her skin in a strange hue.
Then she saw the dirty figure in a formerly elegant, but now thorn black mini-dress digging through their garbage.
Then she recognized the face. It was Susan McMillan !
The former model and now stepmother of Sarah McMillan, that stuck up bitch ! But the woman didn’t share much resemblance to the rich elegant woman Zoe knew. Her face looked strange, almost primitive ?
And her brows where definately much heavier.
With a growing facination Zoe watched Sarah digging through the garbage like a desperate bum, unaware of the effect the pink rays had on herself.
As Zoe watched on, the woman in the backyard seemed to change even more. Her armpits, usually clean shaven, now sported a dense bush. Her legs a healthy layer of hair, as did her forearms. But with each passing second in the pink light Zoe became more oblivious to these details.
More basic needs where rising within her increasingly dimishing mind and her mouth started to water as she watched the devolved woman devour rotten apple she had just found.
Zoe scrached her armpit, where a thick stubble was already evident.
„Me hungry !“
